On the 25th March 2017 following a parade of veterans of the Staffordshire Regiment the Landlord John Rackham hands over the keys of the Kings Head to Colonel Luke Ltd. the syndicate of ex regiment members who have taken over the lease of the pub. Lichfield Lighthouse Company held their first shanty session under the new management on Monday 3rd April.

Fradley Junction on the 18th & 19th of February 2017 Lichfield
Lighthouse Company were invited by the Canal & Rivers Trust to sing
sea shanties during the renovation of the lock gates. The photo shows some
of the group in the drained lock chamber.
Perhaps Fradley Junction is the nearest we will get to the sea!

When we are invited to take part in events or perform at a concert we always do it for free and pass round the collecting boat for the RNLI. |
